In March 2025, Ms. Li Siran, Senior Advisor at Vireon Information Consulting Pte. Ltd., was invited to speak at the online roundtable forum “Emerging Trends in Global South Cooperation,” hosted by the Johannesburg Institute for Global Affairs (JIGA), South Africa. The event brought together leading experts from Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), the UAE Center for Future Studies, and various Latin American multilateral initiatives to discuss the evolving landscape of regional cooperation among Global South nations.
During her remarks, Ms. Li emphasized that in the face of growing fragmentation in global governance, the ability of Global South countries to shape agendas, design coordination mechanisms, and deploy communication resources will become critical variables in reshaping the next generation of international dialogue systems. Drawing on recent regional case studies conducted by Vireon, she highlighted two pivotal factors in building multilateral frameworks: institutional compatibility and the strategic construction of discursive space.
The two-day forum attracted over 500 participants, including scholars, policymakers, and strategic consultants, and has become a prominent annual platform for Global South dialogue and exchange.
